Sung Lee was born in South-Korea in the mid-80s and left her country and its traditions at thirteen to pursue independence in the United States. Despite her parents encouraging her to follow a different path, she chose the visual arts – a field where she could finally express herself freely. After completing her studies, she settled in Paris, the capital of fashion and art.


For several years, Sung Lee worked as a collection manager at Barbara Bui and later as a correspondent for Harper’s Bazaar Korea, covering fashion shows and interviewing renowned designers.


At the same time, she returned to her artistic practice and held her first exhibitions. Her influences range from manga and classical painting to traditional Korean Minhwa art, reflecting her multicultural identity. A multidisciplinary artist fascinated by imaginary worlds, Sung Lee works with various techniques, including watercolor, painting, sculpture, and digital drawing, to create mystical compositions often infused with humor. Her art celebrates nature and the female nude, timeless themes she reinterprets in her own bold and feminist style. Sung has collaborated with brands in fashion, interior design, and hospitality, producing a wide range of creations such as textile illustrations, wallpaper-style murals, custom menus, and hand-painted ceramics.
